The SCALE™ Readiness Signal

The Readiness Signal is the one part of this site that asks some data questions.

It requires no email address and no registration to take the assessment. Your answers are used to produce your result while you are using it, and are not stored, and not linked to you. If you close the tab, the answers are gone. No one can see what you answered, and even if you requested, it could not be retrieved.

That design is deliberate. The instrument is more useful when you are comfortable to honestly answer, and you are more likely to honestly answer when nobody has visibility into what you provide.

Cookies and visit statistics

Squarespace sets a small number of cookies on this site. Some are necessary for the site to function; others record anonymous visit statistics — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, whether they arrived from a search engine or a link.

I use those statistics to understand which writing is worth continuing. They are aggregate numbers, not profiles of individuals, and I do not attempt to identify anyone from them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may behave oddly if you block all of them, but nothing here depends on tracking you.

If you email me or book a conversation

Booking a conversation goes through Calendly, which collects your name, email address and the time you choose, and shares them with me. Calendly has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with that information.

If you email me, I may keep the correspondence in my mailbox. I do not add you to any distribution list. If we work together, any confidential material you share is covered by our engagement terms, not by this page.

Other services this site touches

• Squarespace — hosting, and the visit statistics described above.
• Calendly — scheduling, only if you book.
• Google Fonts — typefaces, served when a page loads.
• LinkedIn — only if you click through to my profile, at which point you are on LinkedIn and subject to theirs.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. None of them receives anything from me beyond what is needed to make the site work.

Your rights over your data

If you are in the UK, the European Union, California, or anywhere with comparable law, you have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted.

In practice the answer is usually that I hold nothing beyond an email exchange, if we have had one. Ask me at lconner@sagaciousthink.com and I will tell you plainly, and delete whatever you would like deleted.

Children

This site is aimed at boards, executives and advisors. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

I will change it here and update the date below. There is no version history worth keeping; if something material changes, the date will tell you.
